Pregnant Woman Kicked Out Of Hospital Room To Accommodate Celine Dion
An expectant Florida mother is getting a tough lesson in the social hierarchy after she was reportedly moved out of her hospital room to make way for Canadian superstar Celine Dion, who was admitted to the hospital this week to prevent the premature birth of her twin sons — due next month.
After doctor’s ordered that fortysomething Celine spend the remainder of her pregnancy under the watchful eye of staffers at St Mary’s Medical Center in Palm Beach, hospital administrators allegedly forced another pregnant woman to switch to another room, tipsters tell The Palm Beach Post.
So just what’s so special about this coveted room? Well, for starters, it’s been specially refurbished and outfitted with a bigger bed — none of that tough hospital stuff here! The room is also equipped with a microwave oven and mini-fridge. Many of the accomodations were made because the room had been earmarked for the pop star’s stay. Celine, however, checked into the hospital earlier than expected when she began experiencing early labor on Saturday night, thus forcing the other mom-to-be – – identified as a local gynecologist –to be moved to another, less luxurious, room.
Th displaced patient “wasn’t too happy” about having to uproot, says a hospital mole. On the contrary, hospital spokesman Ryan Lieber and spokesfolks for Dion insist the diva, 42, is not receiving any special treatment at St Mary’s.
So unfair!!!
