Nigerian Jailed For Rape After Re-Entering England Illegally!

An immigrant who was convicted of rape after he re-entered the country illegally has been jailed for eight years.

Ola Adisa, 36, from Ballards Road, Dagenham, attacked a 17-year-old girl in the basement of a Croydon restaurant in September 2004.

Mr Adisa, who had no previous convictions, was working illegally in the country after entering with false documents.

He escaped punishment for the offence when he was deported under a false name. His true identity was only discovered when he was arrested for a different offence and finger printed by police.

In a statement read out in court, the victim's parents said their daughter's life had been changed by what had happened and she was no longer the girl she had been.

Mr Adisa, who is originally from Nigeria, also received a two-year prison sentence for assault by penetration, which he will serve concurrently.

In sentencing on Friday at Croydon Crown Court, Judge Simon Pratt condemned Mr Adisa for his frightening and brutal attack, on the victim who has been left traumatised by his behaviour.

He said: "I have carefully read the statement from her parents which said her life has changed, probably permanently.

"She has been devastated by what you did to her and it may be that she will never full recover emotionally.

"When your time in prison has elapsed, I hope you will be deported as I recommend your deportation. It is not in the interest of this country for convicted rapists to remain."
