Thousands Pay £17.50 To See Kate's Wedding Dress!

*Amazing* After bolstering the British economy this spring, it seems the royal wedding is the cash cow that keeps on giving. Buckingham Palace looks set to make a tidy sum after more than half a million people snapped up advance tickets to see Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen dress on display.
As for the other star of the royal wedding, sister Pippa's pilates teacher is a winner too, having just signed a book deal to reveal the secrets of the royal bridesmaid's physique.

First, the dress. The Duchess of Cambridge's £250,000 wedding gown is the showpiece of the Palace's annual summer exhibition, which will be opened later today by Kate Middleton and the Queen. Advance ticket sales for the 10-week display are reportedly more than double those last year, with 600,000 people paying £17.50 per ticket.

Kate's entire bridal outfit – from the hand-stitched ivory lace shoes to the 1936 Cartier tiara – will be on display, along with the eight-tier wedding cake, allowing royal fans to - as the Daily Mail put it - "relive every joyful moment of the day". The exhibition is "the hottest ticket in town", the newspaper added.
