Photo Speak: Miss Universe 2011 Winner Is Miss Angola Leila Lopes!
Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes from Angola was crowned in Sao Paolo Monday night, flawlessly answered an interview question about what physical trait she would change if could. Ms. Lopes was elegant looking in her strapless cream-colored gown.
This was how Ms. Lopes handled the interview question: "Thank God I'm very satisfied with the way God created me and I wouldn't change a thing," Lopes said when asked her interview question. "I consider myself a woman endowed with inner beauty. I have acquired many wonderful principals from my family and I intend to follow these for the rest of my life."
This is the first time Angola won the Miss Universe title. Lopes beat out 88 other contenders to win the title during the 60th anniversary of the world's prestigious beauty pageant. She replaces last year's winner, Ximena Navarrete of Mexico.
The 23-year-old Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine, was the first runner-up, second runner-up was Priscila Machado of Brazil, third runner-up was Shamcey Supsup of the Philippines and the fourth was Miss China.
For her part, Supsup answered her question without the benefit of a translator: "Would you change your religious belief to marry the person that you love?"
"I would not marry the person I love because the first person I love is my God and the person loves me, he should also love my God," said Supsup who ranked first among the fans in the vote for the top 5 candidates and second in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions.

ReplyDeleteI am very excited for her that her dream came true. Out of all the finalists, only her response to the question asked made PERFECT sense. All the judges were very pleased with her statement.
