Governors Of Oyo And Osun State Vows To Reopen The Case Of Late Chief Bola Ige, SAN

TEN years after the unresolved murder of the late Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, SAN, the ruling party in the South West, Action Congress of Nigeria has vowed to re-open the case so that the killers would be sanctioned.

Specifically, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State have agreed to work together to unmask whoever that pulled the trigger that terminated the life of the late Cicero of Esa Oke on December 23, 2003.
Though, many Nigerians have lost hope over the brutal murder of Ige, the governors apparently saying the killers had murdered sleep and would sleep no more resolved that they would not mind if the case is not concluded in another decade, they would ensure that justice is done.

As the incumbent governors of Oyo and Osun who were physically present at a lecture marking the 10th anniversary of Ige's death united to unearth the killers, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina said the death of Ige had the connivance of the government and that was why up to now, there is no clue about who killed the former governor of old Oyo State.

Adesina did not mince words as he said Ige was wasted so that a "dastard purpose by the Olusegun Obasanjo led federal government could be achieved.

  1. It;s not really interesting and neither is it funny or cool but the fact remains that this icon's loss is still very painful to bear. Yes, it is but one thing I've to realize in growing up in Nigerian culture is that "let the dead bury/take care of the dead". Even if a spiritual battle is involved, we're merely humans and can only pray fervently for divine intervention. The ultimate decision belongs to the almighty God. if he says it's time for one to come home to him, so be it. We will never understand why and that's not the cross for us to bear. I sincerely believe this inquest might open a whole lot of can of worms... will they be ready to handle it? Besides that, that won't bring Judge Ige back to life and justice might not truly be served. Just my humble opinion. Thanks.
