President Jonathan’s Absence At Fishing Festival Leaves Spectators Angry

Hundreds of residents who trooped to Yankara Reservoir at Yaba in Abaji Area Council to witness President Goodluck Jonathan flag off the FCT Second Fishing Festival were disappointed when he did not show up to flag-off the event.

The residents of the town, whose expectations were high to see the president, had filled the festival's venue before 7 am and waited until 1 pm, before a government delegation led by the Minister of State for Agriculture/ Rural Development and the FCT Minister of State arrived.
