Prostitutes In Lagos Express Gratitude To Governor Fashola For Hosting Eko 2012

As the 18th National Sports Festival, Eko 2012, comes to an end today, prostitutes have started counting their gains in the 12-day competition, just as they gave kudos to Governor Babatunde Fashola for hosting the festival.
In an interview  with Tribune  this is what they said:

Cynthia, one of the sex hawkers who came to Lagos five years ago from Enugu said:

“I was in Lagos during the period when the state hosted the (FIFA U-17) World Cup three years ago. I made money but not as much as I made during this festival because many more officials attended this one, so I am happy with our governor for the hosting as I have made some cool cash from it,”.

Another sex hawker who gave her name as Florence from Akwa Ibom State stated that:
she made nothing less than eight thousand naira (N8,000) daily, depending on the bargaining power for a night, adding that this was the best time of her career since she moved to Lagos three years ago.

Onome, from Edo State, also said:

“I really enjoyed myself during the festival because of the number of participants who came to the state”.
