Three Nigerians Win $30,000 In US Business Challenge

In 2012, the Apps4Africa: Business Challenge asked young tech developers to submit their business ideas aimed at solving local problems through a series of brainstorming sessions held in six countries across Africa.  Only recently three lucky Nigerians emerged winners of Apps4Africa 2012 Business Challenge, winning $10,000 each, which is the cash prize attached to the contest.

A statement by the US Embassy in Abuja said on Friday, that the winners – Francis Onwumere, Opeyemi Obembe and Ernest Ojeh – were selected from among innovative African startup entrepreneurs who develop sustainable technology-based solutions to youth unemployment.
