The Long And Short Of 2Face And Annie Idibia's Very Controversial Car Gift

When one was thinking that the heat generated by the that Prado jeep the couple received from Governor Akpabio during their traditional wedding was beginning to settle down...a fresh controversy is being stirred up again by another wedding gift...and this time around, it's a Chevy Corvette which is alleged to be worth about N47m from the  Senate president, David Mark.
Unlike the case of Governor Akpabio who publicly acknowledged the gift, the Senate president is saying he did not buy any car gift for the Idibia's, despite a photo of the said car with a poster boldly depicting the statement;
'Wedding gift from Senator David Mark to Tuface and family'.
A press statement to that effect has since been released by the senate president's senior adviser on media, Kola Ologbondiyan....read the statement after the cut...

Senator Mark did not visit Dubai for Tuface wedding rather he attended the 128th Inter parliamentary Union (IPU) conference currently holding in Quito, Ecuador. He was also not represented at Mr. Idibia's wedding. It is also instructive to state that the President of the Senate, Senator Mark, did not make a car donation of any kind to Tuface before departing Nigeria for Ecuador neither did he purchase nor send any car to Dubai as a wedding gift for the musician or his wife. Who made the donation on behalf of the President of the Senate?

It is therefore a puerile lie for anybody to state that Senator Mark bought a Ferrari car worth N47m for Tuface. The allegation is wicked, ridiculous and irresponsible.

Signed: Kola Ologbondiyan
Special Adviser, Media & Publicity to the President of the Senate David Mark.

...the long and short of the whole story story is that we are patiently waiting for Mr and Mrs 2Face Idibia to come and clear the air on this 'I buy motor...I no buy motor saga' as soon as they finish jolificating in Dubai...
