Lil Wayne banned from drinking for 3 years

Newly released rapper Lil Wayne has been banned from consuming any alcohol for the next three years, which could ruin his planned prison release party. But this did not stop the rapper from tweeting a pic (above) of himself next to a glass of what looked like cognac a few hours after his release.

Probation documents obtained by TMZ state that the rap star “may not consume or drink any substance containing alcohol”, as long as he’s on probation.

However, according to other reports, Lil Wayne already has 48 bottles of expensive Champagne paid for at his prison release party at a Miami strip club.

Middle-class mother who fell in love with Nigerian she met on web... and didn't hesitate when he asked for £40k to fund oil scam

Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells is not amused - and in this case it is no mere figure of speech.

Sitting at home in the Regency spa town famous for its Jaeger-clad Hyacinths and Daphnes, Caroline Gates-Fleming can only laugh at the irony.

‘I am one of them, really,’ she says, dabbing gingerly at the tender scars of a recent facelift.
‘Middle-class, middle-aged, respectable. I was brought up nicely and married well. Our boys went to public school.

‘But after what I’ve been through, I know they’d find me unacceptable around here. Things like this don’t happen to women like me.’

She has a point. For in Caroline’s case, ‘things like this’ means dabbling in fraud and embracing folly on such an epic scale that even her close family struggles to comprehend.

‘Everyone asks how could I have been so stupid,’ she sighs. ‘I got more than I bargained for.’

How could she fall in love with a foreigner on the internet and then, despite his many and obvious lies, entrust him with £40,000, money she will never see again?

In fairness, Caroline, now 54, has the honesty and intelligence to talk about her motives and the loneliness which is at the root of her current predicament.

Similar to many women of her age, with two failed marriages behind her, she badly wanted the comfort of a relationship.

'Madly in love': Caroline with 'Sab' in Nigeria before she realised the whole relationship had been a sham

‘What woman doesn’t worry about growing older?’ she asks. ‘It’s not just about looks. Confidence evaporates. Builders no longer wolf-whistle. When you have always attracted men, invisibility hits hard.

'It’s in the genes: my late mother Pauline was always glamorous. I won’t even pop to the shops without full make-up.’

As a young woman, Caroline had worked as a jobbing stage actress and dancer, and all that theatrical attention, she admits, had made her rather vain. Later in life, she turned her hand to property development, buying, renovating and selling cottages with some success.

‘Coming to terms with ageing is my problem. I need reassurance from a man,’ she says. ‘I was unhappy alone, and shattered by having brought up three boys.

‘Marcus, my first husband and father of Piers, my eldest [now 24], was long gone. Peter, my second husband, father of Rupert and Theo [19 and 18] had little to do with us.’

Craving a fresh start, in 2002 she moved to Marbella in Spain, where, rather romantically, she thought she might meet a new partner.

‘I still craved that special someone to say, “Want a cup of tea? Let’s have a cuddle,” ’ she says. ‘It is not about sex, but togetherness.’

But she never really settled and returned to Britain after four years, depression having kicked in, and in need of a job.

If glamour has always been a watchword for Caroline, she was still not too proud to take on ‘unattractive’ jobs and found work as a full-time carer for people with learning disabilities.

Her stores of confidence, though, were dwindling. ‘I was still alone, still desperately unhappy,’ she says.

‘I wanted to be flattered and taken out. But it’s so much harder to meet men when you are older. My girlfriends were all married. I had to do something. I’m not the kind to wait for things to happen.

‘They say you learn from your mistakes, but I’ve made the same mistakes with the same kind of men my entire life.’

So when, in August last year, Caroline came across Match.com, a high-profile dating website, the temptation to sign up was overwhelming. It felt safe and respectable, she says, and, after all, ‘you had to pay’ to join.
At first she was conservative, making sure her meetings took place in coffee bars during the daytime, but she soon found that her ‘dates’ were on the cautious side, too.

‘There was never that spark,’ she explains, flicking at the pink tips of her bleached blonde crop.

‘I began to find men my age too old for me. I don’t feel like a woman in her 50s. I fight it. I’ve had a gastric band and a facelift.’

Then she came across a man she calls Sab, who seemed so very different from the run-of-the-mill men she had been meeting.

‘Of course, his name is really Steve,’ she says, of the man she now understands is a Nigerian called Stephen Ehiamhen.

‘I call him Sab because, when he first advertised on the site, he called himself Sabastine Roland. He used a fake picture and posed as a Greek, claiming to be an entrepreneur in Nigeria.’

Caroline accepts that even the earliest signs were dubious.

‘He was vague about his age,’ she says. ‘First it was 47, then 37. He told me that when he applied for a visa to travel to South Africa, he had been advised to say 27 so that he could make out he was a student going to
the World Cup.

‘After two emails, he phoned. I knew the moment I heard him that he wasn’t Greek.’
In fact, while ‘Sab’s’ English was limited, he most certainly did not speak the language of Sophocles, preferring a version of pidgin laced with dialect and slang that is widely spoken in Nigeria.

‘I challenged him about it but he laughed,’ says Caroline. For all his obvious lies, she found him attractive. ‘We messaged and emailed every day
'He soon said he was falling in love with me and I began to feel the same. I found it hard to explain to my sons that I was falling for someone I’d never met.

'Strangely, though, you communicate at a very intense level when it’s not face-to-face.
‘Sab is a direct, articulate person.

'He said he goes to church every Sunday and that his faith is strong. He said we were fated to meet.

‘When he first emailed that he loved me, a month after our initial encounter, I wrote, “Don’t go there.” I was terrified of the intensity of my feelings towards him.’

Caroline was well aware that much of ‘Sab’s’ story was invented, yet it was only after two months of passionate conversation that the two of them spoke seriously about his identity.

‘He confessed he was not who he’d said he was, that he couldn’t do it to me any more, that he “hadn’t planned on the emotion”, as he put it.’

He had to come clean. Hearing that he was really a black Nigerian came as no shock - his pidgin English and African-style dialect had given Caroline a major clue.

She says: ‘He said he was desperate to do something with his life, that he’d been looking for money to get into oil.’

At this point, she explains, her story took a darker turn, one very much at odds with the image of respectability so carefully nurtured by Royal Tunbridge Wells, a town that has not so far made its money through black-market oil deals on the coast of West Africa.

By this stage, the alarm bells should have been head-splittingly loud, yet somehow Caroline managed to ignore them.

‘It’s big business in Nigeria,’ she says, now shocked by the sheer madness of the scheme he was proposing.
He explained how easy it is for gangs to tap the vast network of oil pipelines coming ashore from the wells on the Niger delta. It is known as ‘bunkering’.

Armed with basic engineering skills - and guns - they drill into the network, fix their own lines, hidden from view beneath the water, then watch while a waiting barge is filled with stolen crude.

‘They get an agent, siphon oil, barrel it, store and then freight it by tanker at an appropriate time,’ she says.

‘I was under no illusion. It was obviously illegal. I’m not proud that I was tempted. Perhaps his assurance that he could make around £1.25million overnight was what convinced me.’

And, then, as she says: ‘Love changes everything. We seemed to have so much in common. We were both risk-takers. More importantly, he seemed so much stronger than me. I’d never had that.

‘Both my ex-husbands were weak, which was perhaps why those marriages didn’t last.’

Foolishly, as she now admits, Caroline had told Sab that her mother had recently died, and that she was due to inherit a share of the house where her sister, Jennifer, lives in nearby Southborough, with her disabled husband Stephen and their two children.

‘He never asked me how much money I was going to get,’ she insists. ‘But suddenly it was all about doing this oil deal. I had a gut feeling something was wrong.

'He said he’d make his fortune, pay me back, then set up in business importing luxury American cars.

‘I was desperate to travel to Nigeria to see him. I knew all the risks. I’d heard about women being captured, held to ransom, even murdered.’

They arranged to meet in South Africa, a neutral country from where Sab could organise the ‘deal’ and where Caroline could organise the facelift she had wanted for some time.

She says: ‘After a few hiccups with Sab’s visa - I paid for his flight, of course, all the while thinking, “scam, scam scam” but doing it anyway - I got there.

‘I got off the plane in Johannesburg, churning, sweating, feeling like a teenager. I went through Arrivals, trying desperately to look cool.

'There he was, beaming and waving. We fell into each other’s arms. We kissed, we sobbed. I had never been so happy since giving birth to my first child.

‘We had breakfast in the airport, then went to a hotel. I gave him presents. He cried. I showered. We talked. “God, you’re so beautiful,” he kept saying. “You only look 30.”

‘It was all I needed to hear. One thing led to another. It was so intimate. I’d never experienced anything like it before. I knew this was true love. I almost wish now that it HAD been just sex, but it wasn’t.

'He wasn’t the skilled, experienced lover, but quite shy. If that was all just part of an act, he should get an Oscar.’

They spent a month together, staying in small upmarket hotels. ‘Sab’ never once put his hand in his pocket, but Caroline was happy to pay and happy to be loved.

‘We went on to Cape Town, where he planned his deal over the phone in front of me,’ she says, ‘showing me things on the internet, all proof in my eyes that he was honest.’

Then they visited a consultant about her plastic surgery. ‘Sab wasn’t happy about me doing it, but it’s cheaper there. I was desperate to look younger for him.

‘I returned to the UK and went back for the operation six weeks later, having also paid for Sab’s visa extension.

‘He had found a small apartment for £300 a month. I had the facelift, he looked after me. I could not have looked worse, but he stayed.

‘Again I returned home, truly believing in him. I sent another £5,000 for his oil permit, then £2,500 for two trucks and an escort to the tankers. At last, three weeks ago,
he set off to get the oil.’
At this point, what seems grimly predictable to a neutral observer takes on an air of the inevitable.

‘Sab’ had already warned her about ‘militant factions’ who can prevent deals such as his from taking place.

‘He’d made the risks very clear, but I believed he could pull it off,’ she says. 'Then we lost contact. At about 4pm on the day, his mobile went down. I couldn’t reach him for days.

'We went from speaking and texting every day to zero. Eventually he called. He was sobbing and said, “How can I talk to you, how can I face you? I’ve lost everything.”

‘I was in shock. I’d lost 15 months of my life and everything I owned. I’d handed over close to £40,000.’

As well as the upfront money he claimed to need for the oil scam, Caroline had wired regular gifts of cash to her Nigerian lover. An additional £20,000 she admits, sadly, has been spent on travelling and the facelift.

Caroline had borrowed the money from her sister, Jennifer, against her share of the family home. Fortunately, Jennifer was still able to keep the house.

That same night, after receiving the phone call, Caroline wrote letters to her sons and sister and swallowed an overdose of painkillers.

‘I felt that everyone would be better off without me,’ she says. ‘I couldn’t wait to see Mummy and Daddy again. I reverted to my childhood. It was the easiest way of letting go.

‘My sister found me, and called the ambulance. She hadn’t known much of what had been going on, but now they had my mobile phone and trawled through everything.’

Her family are still trying to persuade Caroline to make a complaint to the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), and co-operate with them to have her lover arrested.

According to SOCA, ‘romance scamming’, as it is known, is more common than ever, with British women at greater risk than those of any other nationality.

One scammer in Ghana, Maurice Fadola, has defrauded 16 women, taking £700,000 from five of them.

Caroline was well aware of the risks. Yet still she believed in ‘Sab’ - and still, to some extent, believes in him now.

‘He had an explanation for everything,’ she says. ‘I believed him because I was madly in love with him. I still am.

‘After all that I’ve lost, half of me trusts him. The other half - if the authorities can give me proof - wants them to bang him up and lose the key.

‘All I know is that I’ve never felt so much emotion as with this man. We all have our Achilles heel. I was so desperate to be loved that I’d believe almost anything.’

Woman Gives Birth To Snake!!!!

It sure sounds unbelievable, but a young woman has been delivered of a snake in Umuahia. The woman delivered the scary reptile on Wednesday following hours of intense prayers at the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, along Eze Ogbulafor Street, Umuahia, Abia State.

Chairman of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) in Abia state, Apostle Emmanuel Agomoh, who is also the head of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim in the state said a priest, Apostle Uche Ugwu had engaged himself in hours of prayers to cause the delivery of the snake from the private part of the 35-year-old lady whose names are being withheld.

The snake, said to have been programmed into the woman’s womb since her secondary school days, was headless and tailless.
The incident, which has become the talk of the town, happened around 5p.m. on Wednesday at the church premises.

Daily Sun learnt that the young lady hails from Olokoro in Umuahia South LGA.
She was said to have delivered the snake like a woman under labour following prayers by the priest that everything that was not of God in her should come out of her body. The incident attracted a large crowd.
Apostle Agomoh said the snake forced itself out of the woman’s private part with the intention of attacking Apostle Ugwu. The cleric’s younger brother, however, was able to kill the animal.

The cleric said the woman came to the church on Monday for prayers following the pains she had been experiencing all over her body since she was in secondary school. Kumuyi's new wife was never married!!!!!!

GENERAL Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, recently in London, married Folashade Aduke Blaize,a church leader in London.
Dressed in a modest business suit, Kumuyi watched as his bride, in a pink and purple skirt suit, took the vow of marriage.
In a statement yesterday, the church secretary, Pastor L.P. Nnadozie, said guests at the wedding were entertained at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, London.
The new wife, 65, is a household name in the church as she has been the administrator of the Deeper Life Bible Church, London.
According to Nnadozie, Esther was never married before as she had “committed her life to the service of the Lord”.
Nnadozie said the solemnisation ceremony of the couple’s Christian marriage was held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010.
Kumuyi had lost his first wife, Biodun, in April last year. The death of the woman fondly called “mummy” or “mama” by members of the church, “became a cause for concern for leaders in the church as she was almost inseparable from her husband. The church leaders were so concerned that the pastor must not remain lonely, that they led a delegation to encourage him to begin praying to God to give him another wife. The leaders also began praying for their pastor to get another partner. Although initially reluctant, Pastor Kumuyi later prayed and testified to the leaders that God had answered their prayers. This is what culminated in the marriage ceremony in London”.
He said the wife of the general superintendent is the national and international woman coordinator of the church, a role that cannot be filled by any other woman.
The wedding was attended by leaders and members of the church from Europe and representatives from Nigeria.
Nnadozie said key leaders of the church in all parts of Nigeria, who could not attend the wedding ceremony, burst into spontaneous applause as they watched the video recording of the event in Deeper Life Churches across country on Tuesday.

Mariah Carey announces she's pregnant

NEW YORK – Mariah Carey is going to have to add lullabies to her repertoire.

The superstar singer confirmed on NBC's "Today" show Thursday that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child. Carey says the baby is due in the spring.

Carey had declined to discuss her pregnancy, the subject of rampant speculation for months, until now.

"Yes, we are pregnant, it's true," she said in an interview with "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush that was shown on "Today."

"It's been a long journey, but it's been tough because I've been trying to ... hold on to a shred of privacy, and that was not easy."

Carey, 40, and Cannon, 30, have been the subject of a baby watch since they got married after a whirlwind romance two years ago.

They laughed off the rumors when they occurred soon after their wedding.

"We thought it was fun, because they kept saying, 'Oh she's pregnant.' Yeah, whatever. So we took the test and it was positive," she said.

But Carey had a miscarriage soon afterward.

"It was really sad, so we really had to absorb this and take it in," she said.

Cannon hailed his wife's strength for being able to laugh in front of the cameras, but later, "crying herself to sleep."
Bush said that Carey told him the baby was conceived naturally, and added that the couple does not know the sex of the baby.

Besides a baby on the way, Carey also has a new album: her second holiday CD, "Merry Christmas II You."

I think you will like this story from WhoWhatWear

1. Parkhurst Faux-Fur Pull-Through Scarf ($48)
It's never a bad idea to incorporate the season's animal-print obsession into your daily rotation. But while our more daring dressers will opt for a chic faux leopard coat or a pair of feline-print trousers, Noten offered up a more subtle approach with a cozy scarf. Since the runway's exact neck-warmer is essentially sold-out (and a wee pricey), we think Parkhurt's iteration is an excellent substitute, as it will give any outfit a similarly luxe look. Just take a note from Noten, and pair the purr-fect scarf with a camel coat and either gray or army-green trousers for an of-the-moment fall ensemble.

2. Ines Sunglasses ($11)
If we're sure about one thing, it's that an on-the-go Dries women should always be equipped with a glamorous pair of sunnies. While in the past Noten created a frenzy with printed cat-eye styles and thick white frames, this time the designer gave his models ultra-dark circular shades. Fortunately, Ines has created an equally envious pair that not only mimics the designer's cool, polished style, but also comes with a more budget-friendly price tag!

3. Topshop Shrunken Wool Blazer ($160)
As mentioned, menswear-inspired pieces were one of the prominent components of Noten's fall collection. The runway boasted plenty of two-tone jackets and crisp blazers with contrast collars, making Topshop's shrunken iteration the perfect pick for today's story. There's no denying its rich camel color, black collar detail, and tailored fit make this piece an almost exact replica of Noten's Camel Wool Blazer ($1293, 212.753.7300); it's almost hard to spot the differences!

4. Zara Sweatshirt-Style Sweater ($40)
Of course today's story would not be complete without Noten's key casual-dressing component: the sweatshirt! While we're always fond of athletic gray versions, there's something so lovely and unexpected about this military green version. For a modern daytime look, simply style the relaxed fit of this Zara sweater with a knee-length full skirt, then transition effortlessly into the evening hours by teaming it with a sleek maxi skirt.

5. ASOS Premium Washed Leather Double Zip Satchel ($126)
We have always loved the rugged flair of an army-inspired bag, and today's satchel is certainly a nod to the utilitarian theme woven throughout Noten's collection. The washed leather gives the carrier a cool worn-in look, while its multiple pockets and considerable size provides enough storage room to carry all of your daily essentials.

6. Old Navy Plaid Wool-Blend Mini ($30)
It's hard to imagine wearing a mini skirt in the dead cold of winter, but once we spotted Old Navy's plaid wool version, our thoughts turned quickly to all of the ways we could! It definitely has that chic schoolgirl spirit we love, and would look splendid styled in a Dries van Noten fashion, meaning with an untucked, loose-fit sweatshirt. If the weather calls for more layers, we suggest adding a pair of black wooly knit tights, and dressing up your look further with a pair of ankle booties.

7. Halogen Nora Pumps ($100)
Much like the collection itself, the footwear at Dries this season has a more subdued and timeless vibe than in seasons past. We spotted a mixture of black low-heeled Suede Shoes ($616) and cognac pumps strutting down the runway, which leads us to our next item on the Inspired By wardrobe list: Halogen's Nora Pumps. Simple, yes, but these almond-toe platforms are the kind of classic shoe option that will take you from one season to the next.

8. Bruce II Pleated Trouser ($390)
If you're still on the hunt for that perfect fall trouser, then today is your lucky day dear readers! Bruce II's high-waisted silk slacks are a seriously functional style that can be worn dressed up or down, and they offer a similar tapered silhouette as the Zip Detail Trousers ($733), an attribute we can be sure our fellow dedicated Dries fans will be thrilled about.—Jessica Baker

Hussein deputy Aziz sentenced to death!!!

Saddam Hussein's most powerful deputy, Tariq Aziz, was sentenced to death by an Iraqi court this morning for being personally involved in the killing of members of Shia Islamic religious parties after the first Gulf war.

Aziz, Iraq's former deputy prime minister and long-term face to the world, was condemned along with four other men, all of whom had been accused of persecuting and killing members of the Shia-dominated Dawa party, which was the main opposition group to Saddam during the 24 years he ruled Iraq.

Aziz, 74, was handed over by US forces to Iraqi custody this year. He was listed as number 25 on George Bush's infamous deck of cards – a hitlist of regime figures who the invading US military had planned to kill or capture.

His family described the death sentence as a "travesty" and said the court that convicted him was like a theatre.

The sentence was confirmed by Mohammed Abdul Sahab, the chief judge of Iraq's high criminal court, who told the Guardian Aziz may face further death sentences in the coming days and weeks.

Sahab said not all of the charges against Aziz related to members of the Dawa party, which is now a key part of the Baghdad establishment and is led by Nouri al-Maliki, who is campaigning heavily for a second term as Iraq's prime minister.

Aziz had previously been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in the deaths of 42 merchants who had been accused of manipulating food prices. He received a second seven-year sentence relating to the forced displacement of Kurds from northern Iraq. The latest trial started on 16 August this year. Judge Mohammed al-Hassan handed down today's death sentence.

In a prison interview with the Guardian in August, his first since the fall of Baghdad, Aziz said: "Did I commit a crime against any civilian, military or religious man? The answer is no.

"Of course I was a member of the Revolutionary Command Council, a leader of the Ba'ath party, deputy prime minister, foreign minister – all of those posts were mine," he said, before claiming he was powerless to stop the will of Saddam.

"All decisions were taken by president Saddam Hussein. I held a political position, I did not participate in any of the crimes that were raised against me personally. Out of hundreds of complaints, nobody has mentioned me in person."

Aziz's son, Ziad, who was airlifted to Amman by US forces in return for his father's surrender in April 2003, described the death sentence as a "travesty" and said the court that had convicted him was like "a theatrical performance".

"None of the victims themselves accused him of any of the killings," he said. "Not one person submitted any allegation, or made any claim against him.

"My father had been a victim of the Dawa party. They had tried to assassinate him during the 80s. This is just Maliki trying to avenge the WikiLeaks allegations."

Aziz said his father had not been represented by a lawyer for more than 12 months. "Anyone who claims to have represented him recently is lying," he said.

Nigeria fraud blacklist issued by EFCC

The EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) said those on the list were all being prosecuted for corruption.

The commission urged political parties not to endorse them as candidates in next year's elections.

One of those named, Orji Kalu, is running for president but has been arraigned on 107 counts of fraud.

He is accused of involvement in a fraud worth 5bn naira (£21m; $33m).

Politicians make up at least 40 people on the list, which the EFCC has published on its website ( http://www.efccnigeria.org/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_view&gid=15&Itemid=82 )

Thirteen are former state governors, five are former ministers, three are serving MPs, and two are serving senators.

The BBC's Caroline Duffield, in Abuja, says fraud charges are no barrier to standing in elections, and some of those named are already campaigning.

But EFCC officials say that they believe those facing prosecution should not be endorsed as candidates.

The commission is appealing to political parties to select only "credible candidates" and not those on the list.

The EFCC says many of the defendants are deliberately stalling their cases in court so that they will not be tried before the elections next year.

Eva Longoria Sued Over Car Crash!!

The driver of a car that collided with Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria on the Los Angeles Freeway last Wednesday has hired an attorney to file suit against the lusty Latina. Sanjay Sobti — an attorney for Gasparyan — says a civil lawsuit will be lodged against Eva in Los Angeles Superior Court this week, seeking damages for negligence related to last week’s crash.

Eva was driving through Los Angeles on Wednesday night when she ran into a whip being driven by Roman Gasparyan. Both suffered minor injuries in the crash, but only Gasparyan is taking legal action. He claims the crash was Eva’s fault and although he was not seen by a doctor immediately following the collision, Gasparyan’s seeking an unspecified sum in monetary compensation for injuries he claims he sustained as a result of the accident — including back and neck pain, severe headaches, anxiety, and blood pressure complications.

Nigerian teenager shot dead in UK

A 16 year old Nigerian teenager, Samuel Adelagun, has been shot dead in east London by two masked gunmen firing at a group of four youths.

Adelagun, was shot in the upper left chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene in Chesterton Road, Plaistow. Police also found a boy of 15 who was shot in the abdomen. He is still in hospital in a stable condition.

Police say the shooting took place in parkland at the junction of upper road when two gunmen appeared behind the four teenagers and began firing. The group aged 15 and 16 were attacked from behind by the gunmen at around 3.20am.

All four youngsters ran away and then re-grouped in the area and sought help from a local resident where Samuel was shot in the upper left chest, while the 15-year-old was blasted in the abdomen.

The only description of the gunmen is that they were dressed in black and wearing balaclavas. It is not known if they travelled in a vehicle or were on foot.

Detectives from the Met's Trident unit, which tackles gun related crime within the black community, are investigating the death.

Annie Smith, 77, of Howards Road, backing on to the parkland, said: "I heard two males shouting then I went back to sleep. Then I heard three or four bangs. I thought it could be fireworks but it may have been shots. I then heard somebody shouting and someone answer faintly. They are just kids, why were they out so late?"

Floral tributes, including seven bunches of white roses, were laid at the foot of the police cordon taping off the scene.

No arrest has been made, according to the London Metropolitan Police.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Samuel Adelagun at Walthamstow mortuary, police said.

Pastor Kumuyi remarries in UK

Eighteen months after he lost his wife, the superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has found love again.

The wedding, which happened outside the spotlight, was reported to have taken place in the UK, last Wednesday. However, the bride, who sources identified as Esther, is said to be a member of his church. But not much else is known about her, or about their courtship. Details of the wedding ceremony, including venue and attendance, officiating priests, protocols, were closely guarded.

Responding to a question whether he would remarry after his late wife, Biodun, passed away, the man of God told reporters that it was too early to think of a replacement. It was a highly emotional moment for him, as the bad news came to him while he was delivering a sermon during the church’s Easter retreat last year.

Mrs. Kumuyi who died at 57 in the early hours of Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her residence in the International Bible Training Centre, Ayobo, Ipaja, Lagos, following a brief illness, was the National Woman Co-ordinator of the church. She was also International Co-ordinator of the women ministry in Africa and other continents where the church has branches, and was Editor-in-Chief of the well-circulated Women Mirror magazine published by the church.

Pastor Kumuyi, 71, was introduced to the Apostolic Faith Church, and became born again on Sunday, April 5, 1964. He started the Deeper Life Bible Church, which now has over one million members in more than sixty countries around the world, as a 15-member Bible Study group in Kumuyi’s official quarters (Flat 2) at the University of Lagos in August, 1973. Kumuyi was at the time a Mathematics lecturer in the university.

Kumuyi is the latest entrant to the fold of pastors who have new wives: Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of the Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God, and Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of the Trinity House. Only Odukoya, like Kumuyi, remarried after losing his wife, Bimbo.

The Jamaican singer died on Monday morning surrounded by his family.

A cover version of the album's title track, by Sly and Robbie featuring Simply Red, reached number 13 in the UK in September 1997.

Isaacs, who was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago, had been travelling around Jamaica before returning home to London this summer to spend time with his wife, Linda, and his family.

"Gregory was well-loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed," his wife said.

"He will be greatly missed by his family and friends."

Singer Suggs, speaking at the Q Awards in London, paid tribute to Isaacs, who supported his band Madness in concert.

"He was a great reggae artist and also one of the most sartorially elegant stars on the world stage," he said.

Scandalous: Robert Mugabe’s wife Grace reportedly had an affair with his top banker!!!

The wife of Robert Mugabe has been having a secret affair with one of her husband’s best friends, it was claimed yesterday.

Grace Mugabe also known as Zim First shopper – who is 41 years younger than Zimbabwe’s 86-year-old president – has spent the past five years cuckolding him with Gideon Gono, head of the country’s central bank.

The couple would meet as often as three times a month either at her dairy farm or in expensive hotels in neighbouring South Africa.

Mugabe finally found out about the affair in July when his sister Sabina revealed the scandal on her deathbed, it was reported.

Since then his most-trusted bodyguard Cain Chademana – who is said to have told the furious president that he knew of the affair but thought it best to keep quiet – has lost his life amid suspicions that he was poisoned.

Gono, 50, is now said to fear for his safety. ‘Once he (Mugabe) hears something like that, I think someone will go to meet God,’ said one Zimbabwean intelligence official.

It is not the first time Mrs Mugabe, who is widely reviled inside Zimbabwe for her lavish tastes and expensive shopping sprees, has conducted affairs behind her husband’s back.

One former lover, Peter Pamire, died in a mysterious car accident. Another, James Makamba, fled the country.

Gono has known Mrs Mugabe, who married the president in 1996, for at least 15 years and they are partners in a number of business enterprises.

He is a pillar of the Zanu PF party that has held on to power in Zimbabwe since its 1980 independence from Britain.

As one of Mugabe’s most trusted friends, he has served since 2003 as head of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe – a period that saw the country’s currency suffer hyperinflation of more than a billion per cent a year.

While many of Zimbabwe’s desperately poor people struggle to find enough food to eat, Gono lives in a 47-bedroom mansion with swimming pool, gym and its own mini theatre.

Yesterday a source close to the banker confirmed that he and the first lady were lovers and claimed they had planned a life together after Mugabe’s death.

The senior official in Gono’s office told South Africa’s Sunday Times newspaper: ‘Mugabe trusted Gono. He even thought our boss was taking care of the first lady, keeping a protective eye on her so that she could not again be adulterous.’

Mugabe’s relationship with Grace, his former secretary, is itself founded on infidelity.

Two of their three children were born when Mugabe was still married to his popular first wife, Sally, who was battling a kidney disease from which she died in 1992.

Good luck to that Gono man!!!!
