Dentist Pulls Out Ex-Boyfriend’s Teeth For Dumping Her For Another Woman

Lovers Revenge: Beware a scorned woman with dental pliers. A Polish man learned this lesson the hard way when his dentist ex-girlfriend pulled out all his teeth during  a surgery days after he'd dumped her for another woman.

"I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions,"  said Anna Machowiak, 34, who practices her trade in Wroclaw, Poland,  according to the U.K.'s  Daily Mail. "But when I saw him lying there, I just thought, 'What a bastard.'"

Machowiak then allegedly gave ex-boyfriend Marek Olszewski, 45, a large dose of anesthetic and yanked all  his teeth out. She wrapped his head in a bandage to keep him from speaking when he came to and told him there had been some complications.

"I knew something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn't feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages," Olszewski told the Daily Mail. "She told me my mouth was numb, and I wouldn't be able to feel anything for a while and that the bandage was there to protect the gums, but that I would need to see a specialist."

"I didn't have any reason to doubt her, I mean, I thought she was a professional," he said. "But when I got home, I looked in the mirror and couldn't f***king believe it. The b**ch had emptied my mouth."

Mackowiak is under investigation for medical malpractice and abusing the trust of a patient. She could face up to three years in prison. And Olszewski's new girlfriend has dumped him because he  no longer has any teeth.

Payback is a bitch, trust me!

Today's Snapshots: Are These People Actually Crying Blood?

Haemolacria is a real physical condition that causes people to actually cry tears of blood. The tears of people suffering from this condition may range from being just tinged red, to entirely made of blood. While the exact cause or cure for this condition is not clear, it is known to be a symptom of several blood-related diseases or tumors. Let's take a look at some of the most talked-about cases of haemolacria in recent years:

15-year-old Calvino from Tennessee cries blood at least three times a day, with no warning when it's about to happen. All he says about it is, "Sometimes, I can feel it coming up like a tear. I feel my eyes watering. Sometimes, it will burn as it comes out."

Twinkle is also a teenager suffering from a rather ghastly version of haemolacria. The 13-year-old from Uttar Pradesh, India bleeds not just from her eyes, but also her nose, hairline, neck and the soles of her feet. It's almost like she's sweating out blood, but strangely it does not cause her any pain. Twinkle's 42-year-old mother is desperate to help her out.

Rashida, from Patna, is another young Indian woman suffering from the blood tears condition. Blood drips from her eyes several times a day, and surprisingly she hasn't been ostracized for it. On the contrary, she is regarded as holy and worshippers come to her to witness the 'divine miracle'.

Her followers bow before her with reverence and shower her family with several offerings. Rashida herself says, "I do not feel any pain when it happens, but it is a shock to see blood instead of water." Medical speculations have suggested the cause may be brain tumor or a malfunctioning tear ducts, but no one can say for sure.

20-Year-Old Victoria Osoteku Jailed For 12 Years For Masterminding Schoolboy Stabbing

Victoria Osoteku had just turned 18 when she used Facebook to invite a 20-strong mob to hunt down Sofyen Belamouadden.

She also bought the £3.99 Argos knife set used to stab Sofyen at least nine times and was seen kicking the 15-year-old as he lay dying in front of commuters at Victoria station.

Speaking at the Old Bailey, Judge Christopher Moss QC told Osoteku: 'You played a pivotal role in the events leading up to that day and must take a substantial share of the responsibility for that.'

But after the sentencing, Sofyen's family expressed their disappointment at Osoteku's sentence.

His mother, Naina Ghailan, reacted angrily to the sentence. She said: 'I'm disgusted. She's got 12 years and she'll only serve half. She's an adult and she should have got life. She planned the whole thing.'

Witnesses described seeing 'knives glinting in the air' as the mob chased Sofyen through the ticket hall.

Osoteku, now 20, had been found guilty of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

She is the 13th person – and only female – to be sentenced for Sofyen's 'merciless' killing in March 2010 which was the result of 'simmering tensions' between pupils at rival schools.

Her conviction brings the total of sentences handed down to 124 years.
Osoteku, of New Cross, south London, admitted being at the scene of the attack but denied taking part.

During her four-month trial, she claimed she 'froze' when she saw Sofyen being stabbed and 'nudged' him with her foot 'to see if he was OK'.

Sun And Thisday Newspaper Declares: " We Are Not Scared Of Boko Haram"

With the latest attack on some media organizations in both Abuja and Kaduna yesterday, many had concluded that news on the activities of the Boko Haram group will become rare on the pages of newspaper, however, reverse is the case as both Sun and Thisday newspaper that suffered a major blow as a result of the attack promised to remain determined without been deterred by the threats from the islamist militants.

In a detailed narration on how the  Sun was bombed in Kaduna, the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief Tony Onyima said that  "At about 11.30 am today, Thursday, April 26, 2012, an explosion occurred at the premises of our North West Zonal headquarters in Kaduna, Kaduna State.

"The property located along Kontagora Road equally houses the state offices of two other media organisations, namely THISDAY newspaper and The Moment newspaper.

"The explosion occurred when a suspected suicide bomber, driving a gold colour Honda Academy, with registration number AL 306 MKA rammed into the building.

"However, the bomb-laden vehicle failed to explode on impact with the building. But when the driver of the car jumped out and began to shout that there were bombs inside the vehicle and that they would explode any moment, angry residents and onlookers seized him and forced him to begin to dispose of the bombs. In the process, one of them exploded, killing three people and injuring several others.

"The angry youths then turned on the driver, and would have lynched him, but for the timely intervention of the policemen who had by then been invited to the scene by our North West Bureau Chief.

"Although there were casualties, no staff of The Sun died or suffered any physical injury.

"The police and other security agencies have since moved in to investigate the matter. The security operatives have also taken custody of the driver and suspected suicide bomber.

"Despite this seeming set back, The Sun Publishing Limited, remains undeterred and refuses to be intimidated in its quest for a better and safer Nigeria. We will continue to report without fear or favour and with utmost sense of responsibility and patriotism."

Police Declare Senator Bukola Saraki And His Wife Wanted For Fraud

Special Fraud Unit of the police, SFU, yesterday, declared former Kwara State governor, Senator Bukola Saraki, wanted following the refusal of a court to grant his request for restraining order.

Also wanted by the SFU is his wife, Toyin, over alleged N4 billion loan fraud.

Meanwhile, Saraki, last nite, said he was ready to appear before the police to answer the allegations against Saraki's lawyer, Lawal Rabana, SAN, said that since the police were hell bent in declaring Saraki wanted, he would, on his own, appear before them.

According to him, Saraki had gone to court hoping that the police would respect the court having submitted to the jurisdiction.

"Now that the police have made it clear that they do not have respect for the judiciary, Dr. Saraki will appear before the court," he said.

Rabana said that Saraki was not on the run and had no cause to run as a distinguished person.

He however did not specify the day Saraki will appear before the police.

Uche Jombo Facilitates Van Vicker's Release From SSS Detention

What can best be described as a scene from a Nollywood movie, was when screen diva Uche Jombo recently saved Ghanaian actor Van Vicker from a real-life detention in the hands of the Nigeria's State Security Service (SSS).

Confirmed sources revealed to Bola Aduwo that Van was in Nigeria a couple of days ago. Apparently he had some prop guns from America which he planned to use in a movie. After passing all security checks, he entered the plane and while on-board, his attention was called to by airport security to identify what he had in his luggage. He identified that they were prop guns, the security  personnel at the airport were not convinced and said they have to get their experts in Ikoyi to check it out! That was how Van was whisked off to the SSS gulag in Ikoyi where he eventually passed the night!

Just before Van was about to enter the SSS Office, he had the presence of mind to contact his wife and a colleague, Uche Jombo who at that time was attending the AMAAs. He BBed his situation to her and described where he was. Unfortunately for him because of the noise at the event and her low battery power, Uche did not see the messages till the following morning! When she did, Uche quickly sprung into action and began to pull strings! Van was later released but without his prop guns.

Why Genevieve, Omotola And Ini Edo Were Absent At AMAA

The eighth edition of the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, held last Sunday night at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos has come and gone.

Nonetheless, tongues have continued to wag concerning the obvious absence of some of Nollywood A-list actors and actresses at the star-studded event that had Hollywood big names  like Emmy winner and Golden Globe nominee Lynn Whitfield (The Josephine Baker Story and Without a Trace), Morris Chestnut (American Horror Story, Boyz in the Hood); Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break, Sons of Anarchy) and Maya Gilbert (General Hospital, Days of Our Lives) in attendance.

Missing at the awards ceremony was sultry actress, Omotola Ekeinde Jalade. Also Richard Mofe Damijo, Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Monalisa Chinda, Emem Isong, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Liz Benson  Chika Ike, Jim Iyke   and many others who would have added glamour to the event were conspicuously missing.

Before now, there have been rumour that Omotola would not attend the event, owing to controversies surrounding her nomination under Best Supporting Actress category, which squealers  claimed was below her status.

They also pointed out that, in the film she got the nomination from, "Ties That Bind", she played a leading character as against the supporting role she was nominated for.

However, the absence of the likes of Genevieve, Ini Edo, Emem Isong and Monalisa Chinda were not unconnected with Stephanie's wedding which they attended a day before the award night.

Only few A-list Nollywood stars graced the event. They were Rita Dominic who won the Best Actress award, Kate Henshaw, Uche Jombo,  Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki), Segun Arinze, Nse Etim Ikpe, Liz Anjorin were spotted at the awards night.

Giuliana Rancic Is Expecting A Baby Via A Surrogate

Giuliana Rancic is one step closer to having the baby that she and husband Bill Rancic have always dreamed about.

The E! News host and Fashion Police cohost , 37, whose road to motherhood has been made difficult by trouble getting pregnant, one miscarriage and a diagnosis of breast cancer, announced in person Monday on the Today show that she is expecting.

"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," Giuliana tells E! News. Adds Bill, 40, "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."

The child is due in late summer via a gestational surrogate, meaning that the Rancics will be the genetic parents.

The couple's desire to have children played a part in Rancic's decision in December to undergo a double mastectomy. The years of medication that typically follow a lumpectomy and radiation therapy would have meant delaying parenthood for several more years.

‘Oil In Nigeria To Dry-Up By 2053 Unless...

Nigeria's source of revenue, crude oil, will dry up in 41 years' time unless exploration is stepped up and new oil wells found and exploited, a geologist and head of PTDF Professorial Chair Endowment on Geology of University of Jos, Professor Agbaji Emmanuel Ogezi, has said. "With 37 billion barrels of crude oil remaining and if current extraction momentum continues, Nigeria will have no oil to extract by the next 41 years," Professor Ogezi said, urging the Federal Government to encourage exploration by creating favourable climate for private investors.

"The only way to conserve oil for coming generations is for exploration to uncover more oil resources and much of the initiative should come from the Federal Government which should do the basic studies, narrow the search for crude, and provide necessary incentives because investors will not want to sink the necessary huge financial resources into exploration if they are not reasonably optimistic of positive outcomes," Ogezi explained.
