Nigerian photographer based in Lagos, George Osodi toured some states in Nigeria extensively for a series of photographs entitled 'Kings of Nigeria' which is due to be exhibited at London's Bermondsey Project in October....his intentions might be to showcase Nigeria's heritage, but this is not how a UK website is seeing the pics taken by Osodi.

The UK Website is reporting that; Nigeria's traditional Monarchs may have been stripped of their powers half a century ago, but they appear to have lost little of their regal pomp and splendour as this fascinating series of portraits shows....with their brightly coloured robes, ornate thrones and legions of flunkeys attending every whim, they seem every bit the archetypal African kings.

Over 1500 Men And Women Strip Naked To Celebrate 2012 Munich Opera Festival

Hundreds of naked volunteers celebrated the beginning of the 2012 Munich Opera Festival by recreating scenes from Richard Wagner’s opera ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen’ in several locations around Munich.

Some were bold in gold and others looked REDdy for anything.

They stripped for artist Spencer Tunick for his creation — called The Ring.

For his latest creation the 45-year-old filled the German city's Max-Joseph Platz with 1,700 nude volunteers, bringing to life his interpretation of scenes from Richard Wagner's opera Der Ring des Nibelungen.

World’s Youngest Artist Has Earned Over £100,000 From Her Paintings

A five-year-old Australian girl who has already earned well over £100,000 from her paintings has been described as the "world's youngest professional artist".

Aelita Andre has been painting since she was just two and her work has been exhibited in Australia and America.

Her cheapest paintings are now selling for more than £3,000 each, the money from which is being put in a trust fund.

Her mother, Russian-born Nikka Kalashnikova, says she quickly realised her daughter's technique set her apart from other playschool painters.

This Painting Is Expected To Be Sold For $80 Million When Auctioned

The last version of Edvard Munch's masterpiece 'The Scream' still in public hands, will be sold this spring in New York, Sotheby's auction house have announced.

Sotheby's estimates that the work, which has become a modern icon of human anxiety, will sell for $80 million (£50.6 million) or more.

The painting is one of four versions created by the Norwegian artist and the only one in private hands.

The 1895 drawing of a man holding his head and screaming under a streaked, blood-red sky is being sold by Norwegian businessman Petter Olsen, whose father was a friend and patron of Munch's.

'I have lived with this work all my life, and its power and energy have only increased with time,' Olsen said.

Iyeoka Okoawo —A Restless Soul In Search Of Her Roots

Her story is unique. She started singing from age five. Though one of her elder brothers, Okodua, always taunted the small girl for humming what he considered 'undecipherable babblings,' that little girl stuck to her guns.

Welcome to the world of a songbird Iyeoka Okoawo. Born in Houston, Massachusetts in 1975 to Nigerian parents from Edo State, her story is that of a restless soul in search of her essence. She happened to have found that essence through music and poetry.

Her homecoming a week before the protests that greeted the removal of oil subsidy on January 1, 2012 had served as an opener for her. She captures her experience vividly: "Being at home in Edo State for one whole week, listening to different people talk about the fuel subsidy made me appreciate what the people here feel and the challenges facing them."

Iyeoka, the third among four children, combines music and poetry, an emerging trend in the creative world, seamlessly like water coursing through its tributaries.

Having performed in various cities in United States of America, United Kingdom, among others, she believes there are still more grounds to conquer.

Her stopover also in Lagos on Tuesday was to introduce her works to Nigerian audience and connect with her roots.
