How South African Police Officers Brutally Assaulted A 27-Year-Old Man To His Death Over Parking Dispute (PHOTOS)

A shocking video emerged today of South African police officers tying a Mozambican immigrant to their van and dragging him through the streets. 

The incident brings fresh embarrassment to the country's criminal justice system which is under intense international scrutiny due to the high profile Oscar Pistorius murder trial.

Mr Macia was heard begging officers to stop the assault with his hands handcuffed above his head and to the inside of the van.

The officer driving the van is seen to reverse while Mr Macia tries to stop himself being caught underneath.

This 44-year-old Chinese woman hasn't cut her hair for the past 11 years and her locks now hang at 6ft 7in long...and she is only 5ft feet in height, meaning that unless she ties up her hair, it will only drag along with her on the floor as she walks.

She washes her hair every four days and her secret to keeping it shiny is to use a bottle of beer...can you beat that?

Upcoming Singer, Damino Damoche Reportedly Shot Dead By Suspected Cultists

Upcoming pop singer Olaniyan Damilola Ibrahim, popularly known as Damino Damoche met his untimely death this afternoon in the hands of suspected cult members at  the front gate of Lagos State University.

He was reportedly shot twice by the suspected cult members right after he finished writing a test at the faculty of management science. The bullets hit him in the neck and hand, and he died almost immediately .

Until his death, the final year banking and finance student of Lagos State University was known for his “Dadubule” hit song.

May his soul RIP!

18 Tourists Killed In Hot Air Balloon Explosion In Egypt (PHOTOS)

It was one of the worst accidents involving tourists in Egypt and likely to push the key tourism industry deeper into recession.

The casualties included French, British, Belgian, Hungarian, Japanese nationals and nine tourists from Hong Kong, Luxor Governor Ezzat Saad told reporters.

Three survivors of the crash... two British tourists and one Egyptian were taken to a local hospital.

According to the Egyptian security official, 

The balloon carrying at least 20 tourists was flying over Luxor when it caught fire, which triggered an explosion in its gas canister, then plunged at least 300 metres from the sky.

It crashed into a sugar cane field outside al-Dhabaa village just west of Luxor, 510 kilometres south of Cairo, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.

Bodies of the dead tourists were scattered across the field around the remnants of the balloon. An Associated Press reporter at the crash site counted eight bodies as they were put into body bags and taken away. 

The security official said all 18 bodies have been recovered.

Rihanna’s boyfriend Chris Brown finally spoke for the first time about their recent reconciliation. In a searingly honest interview with the Mirror, he apologised for his actions in 2009, when he physically attacked Rihanna, leaving her shocked and bruised.

He said:

“Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals.

“That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake.

Missing petroleum engineer, Mr. Akanbi Oluwatoyin, has been found dead.

The petroleum engineer who worked with an oil company in Lekki, Lagos State, was found dead in Ifo, Ogun State after leaving for his office at Lekki on Lagos Island on the fateful day.

News agencies on Monday reported the disappearance of the oil worker from his New Okoba, Agege home in his silver-coloured 2008 Highlander with number plate Lagos SMK 975 AS, about 5.30am.

Wife of the deceased, Oluwatosin, a medical doctor with Lagos State Health Service Commission, had raised the alarm over her husband’s disappearance.

“Although Bimpe (Goldie) appeared energetic and happy all her life, on February 14, 2013, she complained of headache which led to her death. Her last words were with her father when she snatched the phone from her brother and asked that she wanted to talk to daddy.

A United States grand jury has charged Nigerian-born lawyer and Deeper Life Bible Church pastor, Ifeanyichukwu Eric Abakporo and his American co-conspirator, Latanya Pierce, with a variety of wire and bank fraud offences.

According to  SaharaReporters:

The Grand Jury’s  superseding indictment, signed by United States Attorney Preet Bharara at the United States District Court Southern District of New York, requests that Abakporo and Pierce  forfeit to the government a wide variety of properties related to the charged offences, as well as a sum of money representing the approximate amount of proceeds obtained as a result of the offences.  

If any of the forfeitable property is found to be out of reach for any reason, the US government will seek forfeiture of any other property belonging to Abakporo and Pierce up to the value of the forfeitable property.
