The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the agency of the United States government which is responsible for the nation's civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research...and they are warning that;'Something unexpected' is happening on the Sun. 

This year was supposed to be the year of 'solar maximum,' the peak of the 11-year sunspot cycle. 

But as this image reveals, solar activity is relatively low.

These pictures dated from the 1930s of a supposed apeman found in the jungles of Brazil according to some scientist is said to be proof for the much sought after missing link in evolution

His giant lips and furrowed brow and awkward monkey-like gait appear to be simian and the Dutch magazine Het Leven which published them in 1937 certainly seemed convinced, describing the pictures as those of a mystery apeman.

However, in spite of any excitement at the zoological and anthropological find of the past one hundred years, many online observers have cast a keen eye onto the pictures and found the tell-tale signs of prosthetic make-up on the face of the apparent monkey-man.

Oil discovered in Ivory Coast

UK-based oil explorer Tullow Oil has said it found oil offshore in Cote d'Ivoire.

The development gives it confidence that it will make additional discoveries in waters to the west of its key Jubilee field in Ghana.

Tullow said on Thursday that the exploration well, which it called Paon-1X and which was on licence CI-103, found good quality light oil.

The successful result in the Cote d'Ivoire followed disappointment in the country in April when the company drilled a dry hole.

The oil discovery is on the heels of a similar oil find in Liberia in February.

The Touch Of A Man Makes Women Hot - Research

Being touched by a man really gets the ladies hot, new research suggests. When physically touched by a male experimenter, women actually did get "hot and bothered" — their skin temperature increased, specifically in the face and chest.

"Women showed a temperature increase when they were involved in social contact with the male experimenter," study researcher Amanda Hahn, of the University of St. Andrews, in the United Kingdom, told LiveScience. "In some women they changed by almost a whole degree" Celsius, or 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

These changes were subconscious in many of the participants. Figuring out how skin temperature changes in response to stress and other emotional factors could help researchers study arousal non-invasively and develop hands-off lie detectors.

The face heats up when under stress, or when scared, or angry (hence the term hot-headed). The researchers wanted to find how other emotions impact facial temperature, so they took heat-showing pictures of two groups of young heterosexual women during a standard interaction with an experimenter, which included touching the arm, palm, face and chest (using a light probe that they were told measures skin color).

Innovation :New Software To Track Criminals Developed By Former Deputy Governor Of Anambra

Anambra State, Dr. Chinedu Emeka, has developed a computer software that could be used to track criminals and check their activities in the country.
Emeka, who was deputy governor under Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju's administration, said he decided to embark on the research and develop the system as criminals were not being punished for offences committed.
Emeka, who just bagged a Phd in computer science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, said if criminals were caught and punished, prospective criminals would have a rethink before venturing into crimes.
He said there was a need for a national data base of criminals, such as the one he developed, that would be easily accessible to security agencies in the country.

He called on government and private institutions to patronize the Ivory Towers when seeking for solutions to challenges such as provision of power supply, computer software, alternative raw materials/ enhancement of existing raw materials and staff training.
