After dismal performance of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in last Saturday's National Assembly elections in Edo Central Senatorial District, Governor Adams Oshiomhole on Wednesday dropped two commissioners and two Special Advisers from his cabinet.
Those dropped, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Peter Okhoria, are Anselm Ojezua, Commissioner for Information and Orientation; and Lucas Okojie, Commissioner for Transport.
The Special Advisers dropped are Peter Okoh, Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, and Dr Sunday Edeko, Special Adviser on Education, all from Edo Central Senatorial District.
Also relieved of their appointments are Dr. John Ogbeide, Chairman, Health Management Board, and Sylvester Osagie, Chairman, Edo City Transport Service.
Two Senior Special Assistants to the Governor, Theophillus Afuda and Mrs. Caro Agada have also been relieved of their appointments.
The governor thanked all the affected persons for the services they rendered to the state and wished them well.
