THE presidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Malam Ibrahim Shakarau, has promised to accept the result of the April 16 presidential election as long as the process is free and fair.
This is just as the turn out of electorate during the poll was higher than the previous election, as many people were already on queue even before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials arrived.
Also, security personnel were stationed at every strategic place to avert the breakdown of law and order.
Malam Shekarau also added that the people would not hesitate to accept the outcome of the election, so far they were convinced that there was transparency and the process is free, fair and credible.
Disclosing this on Saturday, while voting at his ward in Gingiyu, in Nasarawa Local Government council of the state, the ANPP's presidential candidate said that electorate was happy with the INEC's conduct of the election.
"It is normal in any election where two or three people contested, a winner and a loser must emerge," Malam Shekarau said.
"I am impressed with the turn out of voters from the report we have received across the state.
Malam Shekarau stated that the people have been law abiding.
"As for me, I will accept the result of the election as long as the process is free and fair," he revealed.
