Lets Catch Up On Some Interesting Headlines

Sorry for the unannounced absence. Let us try and do a little catch up of some of the headlines we missed.
Mrs Josephine Okoye the mother of  Jude, Tony and Psquare [Peter and Paul] Okoye was laid to rest on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Ifite-Dunu house, Akwa Village in Anambra.
The burial ceremony took place at St.Gabriel Catholic Church and the lying-in-state took place at Umunachi, Umudioka Village, Anambra State.
May her soul rest in peace.. Amen!
On Wednesday, the State Security Service, SSS, paraded suspected six armed robbery gang which allegedly killed Olaitan Oyerinde (the last image), the Principal Private Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State. "careless statements made by Ali Ihade, the security guard of Comrade Oyerinde, at various times about his master’s attracted the attention of the prime suspect, Mohammed Ibrahim Abdullahi, who consequently hatched a robbery operation’’
A twist to the story is an information which reached us earlier was that one Rev. David Ugolor (the middle image), a known activist, was also arrested in connection with the killing of Olaiton. It was reported that one of the suspects told police interrogators that he was offered N20m for the job which he had received advance of N200,000.
Rev Ogolor was arrested after the suspect named one “David” as the sponsor of the murder.
Actress Ini Edo Ehiagwina has started her own shoe line and it is simply called Ini Edo Collection which she will be presenting at the Dallas International Fashion show on Friday 31st August 2012.
Nollywood icons, Segun Arinze and Justus Esiri were robbed in their London Hotel located in Surrey, United Kingdom some days ago.
Segun reportedly lost his Ipad while Justus Esiri was unlucky as his international passport with various visas in it, his travelling documents, laptop, monies and several other valuables got missing.
Though the matter is said to have reported to the police, but no arrest has been made yet. We also learnt that the hotel had no CCTV cameras to capture the alleged robbery footage.
The U.S. men's Olympic basketball team beat Nigeria on Thursday night, in an epic blowout that answered the Americans' detractors and sent a clear message to let them be.
The United States scored an Olympic record  156-73 as they routed the thoroughly overwhelmed Nigeria to remain unbeaten at the London Games.
Three young women – Miss Anene Blessing Iruoma, 26, Miss Obiakor Maryann Okwudili, 34 and Miss Mbechi Obiageli Susan, 38 years old – have been nabbed by members of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) while attempting to smuggle 4.5 kilogrammes of narcotics, carefully hidden in their brassieres and hair wigs
All the three suspects were apprehended at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Two of them were to board an Egypt airline flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, through Cairo. They were caught with 3.6 kilogrammes of methamphetamines neatly hidden in customized underwears and hair wigs.
The third suspect, who claimed to be three months pregnant, was found to have ingested 900 grammes of substance that tested positive for cocaine.
More than three years after Michael Jackson's death, his youngest brother continues to raise questions about the validity of the pop superstar's will.
On Twitter and cable TV, Randy Jackson has called the five-page document signed in 2002 a fake. The one place he hasn't made the claims is a courtroom, where legal experts say he faces almost insurmountable hurdles to invalidate the will and stiff odds against ousting the men who run the lucrative estate.
In a recent letter, Randy Jackson and three of his siblings called on Jackson's estate executors to resign and renewed claims that the will is a fake.
