RIP: Jigawa State Deputy Speaker Dies In Car Accident

The Deputy Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Inuwa Sule Udi, died on Thursday night in Kano.
Mr. Udi was on his way to his country home, Ringim, from Kano when his car got involved in an accident at Jogana Village along Kano- Hadejia road. He is survived by two wives and many children.
Aged 52, Mr. Udi was first elected into the Jigawa State House of Assembly in 1999 to represent Ringim Constituency and was elected deputy speaker after the 2003 election.
The politician had never lost any election since 1999 and has remained in the state assembly ever since.

Usher's five-year-old son was rushed to intensive care on Monday after a serious pool accident. 

Usher Raymond V is currently being treated in the ICU at an Atlanta, Georgia hospital after his arm got caught in the drain of a pool at the star's home at around 6pm in the evening.

Very Tragic: 15 Children Crushed To Death During Early Morning Keep-Fit Exercise

Fifteen children aged between 12 and 16 years were yesterday crushed to death in Barkin-Ladi, Plateau State, by a commercial vehicle conveying maize to a nearby market. Nine others were injured and have been hospitalized.

The children who were said to be members of the Boys and Girls Brigade of about three churches in the local government headquarters were on an early morning keep-fit exercise when the incident occurred.

There has been insinuations that, Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State may have been flown abroad for the treatment of the injuries he sustained in the accident involving his convoy on  Friday. But Doctors at the Cedacrest Hospital, Garki in Abujawhere the governor is still receiving treatment hinted yesterday, that Wada rejected the option of flying him abroad for further treatment after undergoing what was described as inter-locking nail surgery on his thigh broken in the crash.
