Four persons were killed on Friday when lightning struck at Mechanic Village in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
An eyewitness said that the incident occurred at Bukan-Sidi around 7:05 p.m. when the four men were about leaving their workshop following a downpour.
According to the eyewitness, when the deceased noticed that it was about to rain, they decided to lock up their workshop and go home, but before they could leave the workshop thunder struck.
The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Dahaltu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia.
When contacted on telephone, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer in the Police Command in the State, ASP Cornelious Ocholi, confirmed the story.
