Police After Popular Political Thug, "Ade Basket" For Beating And Stripping 4 Ladies Naked In Public

 

The police in Ondo state are on the trail of popular figure, Ade Fayeun widely known as Ade Basket over the N9000 theft and sex mess rocking the state.

The street character with political influence had on Friday October 21 2011 ordered his followers to strip four girls to their skin and made them parade naked around a couple of streets in the state capital, Akure.

According to a source 'the victims pictures were severally taken by passers by and participants with camera phones in the course of this abuse'

Some of the pictures have found their way to the internet courtesy of Ade's aides- while others have become one of the most passed around on phones in this part of the world.

The girls were alleged to have stolen N9000 from him when he slept with them over night in an hotel room.

He meted out the treatment to the four girls when he claimed he couldn't find the money where he kept it- and pain staking search of the girl couldn't unearth the missing sum.

After the treatment that resulted in the girls also suffering a couple of slaps and kicks- one of the victims, Miss Dayo Richards wrote a petition tagged 'Complaint of assault, inhuman and degrading treatment done to me by one Mr. Ade Fayeun (aka Ade Basket)' to the commissioner of police, Ondo State. 

Informants claimed that the police 'arrested' Ade Basket on the strength of this petition but just like he allegedly boasted when 'dealing with the girls, he used his influence to get himself off the hook'

Ade Basket became popular in the state as a political muscle for sacked governor Olusegun Agagu. He is believed to be close to the government of incumbent Gov, Olusegun Mimiko.

His political links and 'easy release' by the police have kick started a furore over the development.

Human rights canvassers have started a campaign for Ade to be arrested and prosecuted for 'his acts against womanhood'. The opposition party Action Congress of Nigeria are stridently calling for his prosecution as well. And to worsen his case, same for the Ondo state Government.

The government through the commissioner for information, Kayode Akinmade and Women Affairs, Olayinka Alabi maintains 'all those responsible will not go unpunished'

The pressure these public furore have brought to bear on the case is said to have forced the police to begin a fresh move to arrest Ade Basket.

Miss Morenike Dare one of the victims holds a different view on the incident that reportedly happened between her, Dayo Richards and Ade Basket.

The lady allegedly denied she was molested by Ade Fayeun and other Labour Party thugs at the occasion.

Sources have it that Morenike Dare was spotted with Ade Basket at a popular joint in Akure, 17.59, some couple of days ago hanging out, full of life and in the best of mood.

Morenike denounced the story told by Dayo Richards, stressing that Ade Basket never beat either of them nor have them striped naked as reported by Dayo.

Her words: "Dayo who supposed to be a senior sister to me, disappointed me as she was the one that invited me to meet Ade Basket whom I did not know from adams, to follow them to Blissword Hotel in Ijapo which I reluctantly went with them. Ade Basket later said he wanted to relocate to Plaza motel, while Dayo offered to follow Ade to the hotel and also told me to join them. By then, Dayo was already drunk and high on spirits. We later begged Ade, to provide accommodation for us for the nite since we were already stranded. It was the next morning when I discovered that my money, N1500 was missing in my bag and I asked Dayo about the money since only two of us slept in the room.

A fight ensured between us which later attracted Ade from the other room. He was making peace for us and offer to pay back my lost money only to discovered that his own money, N9000 was Missing too. But to my surprise, Dayo suddenly pulled the money from her private part, and cleverly put it inside my bag, raising alarm that I was the one that stole the money. 

At this juncture, I bounced on Dayo and pulled away the cover cloth she has on her, while she also striped me naked when both of us engaged in a fight. It was our fight that attracted people in and around the hotel and our pictures were taken by the onlookers without our knowledge.

Dayo is a well known call girl, very frequent in notorious places and nite clubs in Lagos, Abuja and other cities trading her illicit business and duping unsuspected victims. I do not have any bad feelings with Ade Basket because he has not in anyway, beaten or treated me badly, including Dayo who is trying to mischievous and cheaply blackmailing someone who herself confirmed that Ade has been very good person to her. I challenged Dayo to come out to the whole world and tell the true story rather than blackmailing me and Ade Basket.

While the account of Miss Morenike Dare appears believable, Citizen Reporters however smell rat because the account does not agree with forensic evidence relating to the event. 

In one the pictures published,

Ade Fayeun could be seen conspicuously holding and fiddling with a camera himself while others in front of him continued the recording with different cameras. He did not appear to be chastising anyone for recording the lady in the nude, rather, he appeared as an active participant. 

Pictures don't lie.

ALSO, to further contradict Morenike's story, the lady in one of the nude picture was on her knees in trepidation as fear was written all over her.

Was her fellow lady (Dayo Richards), with whom she was in a fight and thus 'got naked by accident' responsible for her being on her knees?

Nigerians are used to cases of the victim denying nothing had happened as a result of the might of government. We therefore wish to alert the public that this case of gross abuse against a woman by someone with strong connection to the governor is gradually being swept under the carpet. And it is totally unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!! Women victimization must stop!
