Denrele Speaks On His Last Moments With Goldie And His Gay Allegations

Denrele is one celebrity with a very wild personality who he needs little or no introduction. Here is an excerpt of a recent interview he had with with Nigeria Tribune....

What exactly was your relationship with Goldie?

Susan Olubimpe Harvey aka Goldie and I were best of friends and whilst in death, we still remain best of friends. I met her in 2006 around the time I featured in Dbanj’s ‘Why me’ video which many artistes loved and also wanted me to be in their video. So I received a call from her and when we met at her house, then she told me she wanted me to be in her video. She gave me the song to go and listen to, but funny enough, I didn’t even listen to the song, but I told her I liked it. I remember she offered to pay me N50, 000, which was a really good deal back then, but I featured in the video without collecting any money from her and that was how we struck our friendship and became very good friends.

The singer who passed away on valentines day has since been laid to rest and one would have expected that every upright thinking human being will respect the deceased and preserve her memory as well as her enduring legacy.....so now who in God's name is using the late singer's twitter account for cheap advertising?

Candlelight Procession For Late Goldie Harvey Holds Today In Ikoyi, Lagos

There will be a Candlelight procession in memory of Susan “Goldie” Harvey today Friday 1st March 2013 at 6pm.

The train will converge at Parkview Estate gate in Ikoyi, Lagos by 5.30pm and then proceed to walk through Osborne road through to Awolowo way, Barracks then back to Parkview.

Please bring candles and candle holsters if you can. The MIC band will lead the procession.

Dress Code is Black.

The festival is hereby cancelled for 2013.

However, you can join us for a Thanksgiving service/Tribute Concert to be held at a later date.

While reading Goldie’s biography, Joshua, the deceased’s younger brother, narrated the singer's last moments amid tears, Joshua said the last person his sister spoke to before her death was their father. He said

“Although Bimpe (Goldie) appeared energetic and happy all her life, on February 14, 2013, she complained of headache which led to her death. Her last words were with her father when she snatched the phone from her brother and asked that she wanted to talk to daddy.

“While crying about a splitting headache, she asked for prayer support. Alas she went into a coma almost immediately and died on the way to the hospital due to the Valentine traffic.”

Susan you walked into my life, it was like God sent you as a fresh breath. I still remember your response to my first love message. You said 'Love killed romeo, sent Diana to an early grave and killed Jack on the Titanic. Forget about love, just have friendship and live long.

Overtime our love grew to a depth I have never known. You were the best years of my life, your smile, your desire to live your dream.

The late pop stat's funeral is currently going on at Vaults and Gardens in Ikoyi. Her best friend, Denrele Edun wrote this very heartfelt tribute to  late Goldie Harvey which he titled:  "You Chose Etenal Sleep Over A Fab Life With Me"

 A candle light ceremony was recently held in memory of the late Pop Star and Nigeria’s representative at the last Big Brother Africa Star Game, Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey who passed away on Thursday night shortly after she returned from the US where she attended the Grammy Awards. Her autopsy report has since revealed that she died of “Hypertensive Heart Disease.”

Prezzo Denies Plans To Marry Goldie

In a recent interview with a Kenyan website, Prezzo in strong terms refuted the recent rumour that he and the late Nigerian pop singer Goldie were planning to get married...in fact this was what he said about the whole marriage thing:

"What? I'm really shocked to hear this. I've actually heard it for the first time from you. That's a big lie though. If we were really getting married I would be in Nigeria or she (Goldie) in Kenya. Those are just fake stories created by blogs," 

Goldie and Prezzo met at the Big Brother house and have been friends ever since...even attending events together. Goldie has visited Prezzo in Kenya while Prezzo has also been a frequent visitor of Nigeria.

'Goldie' Harvey Died Of Stroke...Pathologists

Fresh report coming in from Sahara Reporters has it that Goldie died of stroke.

Medical sources at the Lagos State  University Teaching Hospital have revealed that Big Brother Africa singing sensation Oluwabimpe Susan Harvey aka "Goldie" died of Intracranial hemorrhage as a result of hypertension.

How To Avoid Sudden Death...Cardiologist

Many reasons — albeit unofficial — has been adduced for her death. For one, an artiste friend of hers, Denrele Edun, who reportedly rushed her to the hospital when she collapsed suddenly upon arrival from the United States where she had attended the Grammy Awards, said she died of pneumonia.

The doctors claimed that she died before arrival at the Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos and therefore could not volunteer the cause of death. While there has also been a reference to blood clot, an unidentified source said she died of drug overdose, which her British widower, Andrew, has denied.

Whatever was the cause of Goldie’s death, one thing is certain: she died suddenly.

According to Consultant Cardiologist in private practice in Lagos, Dr. Victor Adeleke, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome or Sudden Death Syndrome is an umbrella term used for the many different causes of cardiac arrest in young people from their teens to early 30s.

Goldie Was Brought In Dead...Reddington Hospital Claims

There have been many speculations and rumors about the cause of death of the late Nigerian pop star, Goldie Harvey. It is rumored that a few friends have insinuated that she died of a drug overdose. Others believe she had a rare condition ‘Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)’, a condition that is caused by long distance travelling when a clot, or thrombus, typically forms in a deep vein in a leg. This condition can also lead to death when a part of the clot breaks off and flows to the lungs. This condition, called a ‘Pulmonary Embolus’. It has also been reported she died of an asthma attack. However, none of these speculations have been confirmed.

A statement was released by the hospital’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Franklyn Ovbigbahon and it said::

Around 7.30 pm on Thursday February 14, 2013, “a high profile media personality was brought to the Reddington Hospital”.
