Sonia Ike Appointed As New Miss Black Africa UK 2013 As Winner, Precious Okeke Is Disqualified

The organizers of the beauty pageant which took place about two weeks ago at the Royal Regency Hall in east London, have announced that their crowned queen, Precious Okeke has been disqualified due to pageant terms and conditions. While 19-year old Sonia Ike is now the reigning queen. Read the press statement issued to that effect below:

The Miss Black Africa UK finals took place on the 5th of October with the judging panel made up of Ini Edo, Adebayo Jones, Sporah Njau, Jenni Steele and Kunle Lawani. The Miss Black Africa pageant is the largest ethnic pageant in the UK, with over a thousand applications received in 2013. Miss Black Africa is also the current holder of the BEFFTA Best Beauty Pageant in the UK Award.

Miss Black Africa pageant director Dele Onabowu said " I am sure that the girls in question did not try to flout the rules.

Fani-Kayode Finally Withdraws “intimate relationship” Comment About Bianca Ojukwu

A week after Bianca Ojukwu threatened  to commence a legal action against controversial ex-minister, Mr. Fani-Kayode if he fails to retract his comments over an “intimate relationship” comment about her, he has finally listen to the voice of reason and withdrawn the controversial comment.

In a statement through his lawyer, Rotimi Akinola, on Thursday, Mr. Fani-Kayode accepted that he erred by making the comment but said it was “bizarre, absurd and inexplicable” that the wife of the late Biafran warlord, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, claimed they were never acquainted.

“As our client said earlier through his press secretary some of the words he used to describe his friendship with Ambassador Ojukwu in his article titled ”A Word For Those Who Call Me A Tribalist” were indiscreet,” Mr. Fani-Kayode’s lawyer said in the statement.

“He hereby withdraws those words,” he added.

Khloe Kardashian's Husband, Lamar Odom Arrested

Lamar Odom was arrested for "driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs" early Friday morning.

The bust occurred in the San Fernando Valley at 3:54 AM.  Lamar -- who was driving a white Mercedes SUV -- was popped by the California Highway Patrol and taken to a nearby station, where he was booked and is being held on $15,000 bail.

Femi Fani-Kayode has replied Bianca Ojukwu over her threat to sue him, if he fails to retract his ‘libellous publication’ about her within seven days. Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s widow and Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has described as false the claim by former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, that she was his girlfriend when she was a spinster.

Fani-Kayode had in his article, entitled: “Neither a tribalist nor a hater,” published in the social media and some segments of the national dailies, claimed to have met with Bianca when she was Miss Bianca Onoh at the Cambridge College and had “intimate” relationship with her together with two other Igbo ladies.

Reacting to this, Bianca said  she had never met Fani-Kayode before, either at official or private level, not to talk of having an “intimate” relationship with him.

The ambassador, who spoke through her lawyers, Wall Street Attorneys, has, therefore, threatened to drag the former aide to ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo to court if, in the next seven days, he fails to retract his libelous publication against her.
The letter written by Mrs. Ojukwu’s lawyers  and signed by Mike Ugwuanyi, Esq, reads :

“We have been briefed and our services retained by Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain to demand from you an unreserved apology and a retraction of a false and malicious statement, which you published online and also caused to be published in the Leadership Newspaper of August 16, 2013.

Khloe Kardashian And Lamar Odom Separated Amidst Drug/Infidelity Problems

It has been revealed that Khloe Kardashian kept Lamar Odom's crack addiction secret from her entire family for most of her marriage, because she did not want to burden her family and jeopardize the Kardashian machine by telling the brood about her husband's drug issues. And Kourtney and Kim Kardashian only learned of Lamar's addiction "very recently."

And that Khloe threw Lamar out of the house a few days ago after he rejected an attempt at an intervention.

But the main problem now, is that Lamar Odom has vanished and everyone in his life fears the worst...maybe he's off somewhere on a drug binge.

Sources connected to the NBA star tell TMZ that people on Lamar's side, and on the Kardashian side have not been able to find Lamar or contact him for nearly 72 hours.
