Listen And Download D’Banj’s New Single ‘Oyato’: Is It Really ‘Different’ Without Don Jazzy?

Just in-case you are not yet aware, former MoHits poster boy, D’Banj has moved to replace Don Jazzy with 2face’s producer Jay Sleek.
And the first effort which they have dropped is titled ‘Oyato’, a Yoruba word that means different.
Is D’Banj sending out a thinly veiled message? BTW, the song has been trending on twitter with many saying they actually expected more from the KoKo master himself now that he has gone international.
So what do you think of this new song?

  12. Oyato shows that D'banj has matured.. The song is not vain with meaningless lyrics(e.g wiz kid, Davido, terry G, chuddy K,oLu maintain etc)..I also think it has an encoded message which does not have to do with Marvin Records(Don Jazzy)D'banj is beyond that. Check out the 2nd verse that says 'if u know what I know, you go like me' coupled with rock guiter fused into this part mentioned above(kanye west signature) showing that he is enlightened now, illumination has come to him...Abeg my brother D'banj Live free.. U have broken the chains...wetin them talk no matter at all.

  15. Its nobody's business if he's moved from grace to grass and its also nobody's business if he sticks to Don Jazzy or not. In life one has got to move forward and it doesn't necessarily means he's got to hang on to some Don Jazzy forever. What you all need do is give him encouragement instead of criticizing him and hold on to what he's offered to the entertainment industry, mind you all this is just his first single without Don Jazzy no one knows what tomorrow holds. Ride on Dbanj the lord is your strength.

  16. Please leave dbanj alone, that he's gone international does not mean he's not African anymore. You expect him to start rapping with foreign lingua now shey? Abeg make una free d guy make him sing him song cos all of you yabbing him now will soon rush to the market to buy his cd when the album is ready....

  19. It's ironical that the 'know-it-alls' a.k.a 'beefing boys/girls' do not have any logical reasons for criticizing him (D'banj) or simply do not understand the Queen's language enough to make their points coherent. This is one problem which hinders our growth; we destructively criticize instead of being constructive. Point out his lapses (if any at all) and hints ways to make his career stronger rather than denouncing the artiste, please!
