Lady Gaga has checked into hospital to undergo hip surgery.
The Poker Face star scrapped the remaining date on her Born This Way Ball tour earlier this month after being diagnosed with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints.
This week she was seen using a wheelchair - which she had named 'Emma' - to take the strain off her legs.
And now Gaga is going under the knife in a bid to address the problem.
It is thought Gaga will lose millions after cancelling the gigs as insurers argue the star's injury was her own fault for working too hard and scheduling too many dates.
