Nigerian Entertainers Unite To Pray Against Untimely Death

The Nigerian entertainment industry which includes music, movie and comedy are coming together to pray against untimely deaths in their industry taking into consideration the number of entertainers they have lost within the spate of two years and the adverse effect on all of them.

They have resolved to an annual prayer meeting to help curtail or prevent any unforeseen evil that will take away the life of any Nigerian entertainer in his or her prime. This year's event took place on February 26, 2012 by 5pm at the Lagoon Restaurant in Lagos.

The first edition held last year in Lagos and it witnessed the attendance of lots of entertainers and anointed men of God. It was anchored by leading gospel act, Sammie Okposo.

The convener of the programme, Pastor Paul Ojo said "this vision was born out of the burden of seeing our greatly endowed Nigerian acts not finish their course/time on earth before death or some sickness or infirmity come snatching them through unnecessary accidents from hell and worse off, homes breaking away. I prayed about this burden for years and then God spoke to me to do something about it 2years ago (2009) and the vision S.H.I.F.T was born in 2011".
