50 Cent is speaking out about his current legal wahala.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was charged with domestic violence and four counts of vandalism for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend at her condo in Toluca Lake, Calif.
Scott Leemon, Jackson's attorney, has issued the following statement to E! News:
"Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him. It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest."
"We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney's Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations.Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time."
According to the L.A. City Attorney's Office, police responded to a call from the home on June 23 when the "Candy Shop" singer had been arguing with the alleged victim and started to take his anger out on her property.
Per the LAPD report, his ex-girlfriend locked herself in the bedroom and he then kicked down the door and said kicked her, which caused an unspecified injury.
Police estimate that the 50Cent caused $7,100 in property damage. Officers alleged to have seen broken furniture, chandeliers, one broken television and lamp and a ransacked bedroom closet.
By the time police arrived to the scene of the argument, 50 Cent had already left the condo. He's due to be arraigned July 22 in Van Nuys Superior Court and could face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines should he be convicted on all five counts.
