Bukola Saraki In Ritual Mess …How His Family Has Been Throwing Many Families Into Mourning!

The acrimony that the last election generated in the household of Olusola Saraki has been settled with the reconciliation of Baba Oloye and his son Bukola recently, when he begged his father to forgive him of whatever sins and pains he might have caused him with his action which led to the father's disgrace at the poll.
However, those who are in the know claim that Baba Oloye, as the senior Saraki is fondly called by his admirers, was the architect of his own misfortune. the reason is that, shortly after the 2003 election which led to the emergence of Bukola as the Kwara State governor, his name was changed to that of his father.
We learnt that while Bukola was campaigning against Admiral Lawal, the name he used then was Abdulmutalib Bukola Saraki, his real name. But the name was changed to Abubakar Bukola Saraki before 2007. Abubakar was the name of his father. This, according to a very close family member, "had spiritual repercussion because since the sudden change of name, the fortune of the senior Saraki nose-dived while that of his son began to blossom. Though many people may not believe this, it is what actually happened."
He said further that Baba's honorary chieftaincy title of Turaki, which was celebrated with fun-fare, was ceded to Bukola while the father was still alive. "All these are nothing but ritual," said the source.
This is not the first time that the Saraki family would be linked to rituals. In other cases, many people had lost their lives while following the Sarakis. One of the ugly incidents still fresh in the memory of the people was the one that happened some years back when some of their supporters, mostly women, came to Lagos during the wedding of Yemi Saraki who married one of the sons of Alhaji Shafiu Edu. While going back, they passed through Osogbo to link Ilorin but between Offa and Ilorin they had a ghastly motor accident which led to the death of many of the women.
Then, we gathered, some family members of the dead women, especially their widowers, were bitter that the Sarakis use them for rituals.
Another incident occurred last year during the last Sallah at Adewole area, where many people also lost their lives, while the most recent was on Saturday 28 May 2011, a day to Bukola Saraki's handing over to the new governor. The incident was at a valedictory party for Bukola at the Mandate House, Bukola's official campaign office, where 25 people lost their lives.
One similar thing about the last two ugly incidents is that they happened few minutes after the departure of Bukola from the venues.
