This is contained in a press release by Jafaar Jafaar, Special Assistant to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso in Abuja and made available in Kano on Tuesday.
The release stated that while inspecting the demolition exercise at the site, Kwankwaso insisted that the land originally belonged to Kano before some individuals illegally took possession of it with the connivance of officials of the past administration.
He warned that his administration would ensure that any property belonging to the people of the state was not taken over by other persons.
