All the roads leading to Ekiti State are not good enough and the state government cannot afford to embark on dualisation of any of them now. Why should a state that prides itself as the Fountain of Knowledge in Nigeria be one of the poorest?
This is one of the questions Governor Kayode Fayemi –led Administration is trying to find answer to in order to transform Ekiti State. In an interview with Charles Segun Adegbite the State Commissioner for Information, Mrs. Fola Richie-Adewusi speaks on the government's agenda, its challenges, and what the governor intends to achieve before celebrating its first year in office. Promise fulfillment
Well, some of the things that have been accomplished after the inauguration of Dr Kayode Fayemi's administration include what we call "Road Map to Ekiti Recovery" which is embedded in the 8-point agenda. And the 8-Point agenda includes: participatory governance, infrastructural development, modernizing agriculture, education and human capital development, health-care service delivery, industrialization , women and gender empowerment.
