Top 10 MIC is billed for December 23, 2011 at TBS Lagos and will be graced by top ten artistes that cut across all genres of music.
"Our aim is to do a show that is 'truly Nigerian'. It is not Hip Hop; it is not Afro beat, Fuji, Dancehall or Apala. It will be everything Nigerian". A statement from the concert PR agency Bigsam Media reads.
Speaking on the preparation of the entertainment company, Elsie Oluko, Head of Operations, says "KOGA is providing a platform that will unite the young and the old. In time past we used to have the Lekki Sun Splash which more than one million people used to look forward to yearly, but now we have no such concerts anymore. What we are trying to do is bring back the memories of time past, and create new ones. Our selection of artiste shows that we are fair to all ages and not settling for anything less than the best."
Meanwhile six out of the 10 entertainers that are expected to perform on that night have been announced. Iconic Nigerian superstar 2face Idibia will lead the new generation singers such as M.I and Eldee to TBS while tested veterans will be led by two-time Grammy award nominee, Femi Kauti, while Afro Juju creator Sir Shina Peters and Paramount King of Fuji, Abass Akande Obesere will represent the Juju and Fuji genre respectively.
KOGA in the mean time is keeping the identities of the remaining four entertainers to its chest as it plans for it to be a joker. KOGA entertainment the brain behind Top 10 MIC is broken down into KOGA studio, KOGA production, KOGA records, KOGA publishing and Koga lounge.
