Two Suspected Lovers Found Dead Inside A Car In Kano

Two people, believed to be lovers, Najib Aliyu Yunusa and Nadiya Sherrif Abdu Gwammaja were found dead Monday night in the premises of Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (MAKTH) in Kano.
Late Najib, a grandson of Kano based prominent businessman and transporter, Alhaji Sani Bothers and his friend Nadiya were said to have become friends through Facebook, a social network. They were found dead inside a car, a Volkswagen model.
Both Najib and Nadiya, in their early thirties, have been earlier declared missing by members of their family who have been searching for them but had no inkling as to their whereabouts.
A family source said that Najib, a father of 2 children arrived Kano on Friday from Abuja where he was working as a Petroleum Station Manager, before he proceeded to visit his heartthrob Nadiya in her family house at Gwammaja Quarters in Kano Metropolis.

Nadiya, who separated from her second husband after the collapse of her marriage, had earlier left information at home that she will take time off to visit the family of her immediate husband to commiserate with them over the demise of one of the husband’s relations. “She left home along with her sister Fatima and her 6 year old daughter Jamila. Since then we had no trace of her whereabout until when a family friend called to inform us that she was found dead along with her male friend inside a car, the source disclosed.
The 2 lovers, according to the source must have proceeded to the quiet hospital’s parking space after he conveyed her from the house she visited and were later found dead at the premises of the hospital, the source added.
As at the time they were found dead, the source said the bodies of late Najib and Nadiya had started decomposing, suggesting that they might have died much earlier than the time they were found.  Spokesman of the hospital, Alhaji Aminu Inuwa confirmed the incident and said that the hospital was awaiting police report in order to commence autopsy and unravel the circumstances of their death.
