IN a reaction to rumours making the rounds that the Enugu State governor, Mr Sullivan Chime, died at an undisclosed hospital abroad, the government of Enugu State has stated that the governor is alive and on vacation at an undisclosed country abroad.
The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Chuks Ugwoke, while reacting to the purported death of Governor Chime, said the governor was in perfect health, adding that he spoke with him on phone in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Ugwuoke, however, did not disclose the location of the governor when he spoke with him, but said Chime mandated him to issue a condolence message to the families of Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and General Andrew Owoye Azazi, who died on Saturday in a helicopter crash in Bayelsa State.
