The "Once in a Lifetime" tour, set to make a Friday stop at Conseco Fieldhouse, has been praised for its use of silhouettes, drapes, video screens and mechanical lifts.
"The concept is simple, but it's quite a big production," vocalist Sade Adu said during a phone
interview. "A lot happens. It's more theatrical than anything we've done before. The stage transforms from one minute to the next, which is lovely. In that way, it represents our evolution as a band."

The London-based Sade hasn't flooded the market with smooth R&B during that time. The last three studio albums were released in 1992 ("Love Deluxe"), 2000 ("Lovers Rock") and 2010 ("Soldier of Love"). A two-disc career overview titled "The Ultimate Collection," arrived in stores in May.
Adu talked to about her dedication to music and life as a "reluctant celebrity."
