Akwa Ibom Local Government Chairman Arrested In The US For Laundering $82,000

Mr Nse Ntuen the chairman of all local government chairmen in Akwa Ibom State(ALGON) in Nigeria, was on Friday August 16, arrested at the Baltimore Airport, Washington in USA. And it has been confirmed by Maryland State Police Department, USA.

The executive chairman, was arrested for money laundering and held at the airport by security operatives for thorough interrogation.  Earlier Ntuen claimed he had only $5000 (N800,000) on him, but after he was arrested and thoroughly searched by the airport security, he was discovered with a whopping $82,000 (N13.2 Million)....$77, 000 hidden in his bag.

The politician who is the chairman of Essien Udim local government; the home area council of the Akwa Ibom State Governor was later released after the entire cash was confiscated by the Maryland State Police Department.
It is been reported in some quarters that Nse who was flying into USA from UK for an annual meeting of indigenes of Akwa Ibom in USA known as Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, AKISAN has since engaged the services of a US-based Akwa Ibom lawyer Mr Hope Umana Esq to see how he can secure the release of confiscated money.
