South African Fans Spits Fire As Luclay Loses Out On BBA’s $200,000 Prize!

Incessant reports say South African fans were angered following last Sunday’s eviction of their representative Luclay Misoya from the just concluded Big Brother Africa reality show thus missing out on the $200,000 prize money.

The Big Brother Africa Amplified reality show came to an end last Sunday night with Nigerian housemate, Karen and Zimbabwean, Wendall winning the coveted prize of US$200,000 each.

The show that started with 26 housemates saw the South African actor, Luclay, becoming the 24th housemate to be evicted missing out narrowly on the prize money.

According to Sowetanlive, police had to be called in to control rowdy fans after Luclay’s eviction with many of them walking out of the Sasani Studios in Balfour Park, Johannesburg Sunday night.

A fan, according to reports, jumped on the stage when presenter IK announced Luclay’s eviction. “No. It can’t be!” the crowd screamed as the South African housemate made his way to meet the other evicted housemates who were also at the final show.”

Meanwhile, in a show which saw drama, tears, laughter and joy along with rocking performances from Nigerian stars Wizkid and Mo’Cheddah, Tanzania’s CPWAA, South Africans Speedy and Professor and Fally Ipupa (DRC), it was the Nigerian and the Zimbabwean who prevailed to pick up the spoils on the continent’s biggest reality show.

IK and Big Brother drew the tension out until the last possible second of the two-hour Finale, leaving Karen and Wendall delighted at the Amplified outcome.

Earlier in the show, Vina and Hanni had been evicted before IK took viewers back into the House and asked the remaining 5 Housemates – Sharon O, Wendall, Karen, Luclay and Lomwe to join him on stage.

One-by-one he sent Sharon O, Lomwe and Luclay to join the ranks of the evicted Housemates before dropping the explosive Amplified twist on the remaining duo.

It was an evening of tension and drama. One felt while watching the show in Lagos, it was a well packaged reality TV programme which definitely put Africa on the map of been able to do things right
